Meet the crew

Untitled 4

We believe in thinking differently and in the power of analytical chemistry to transform how we understand and shape the world. Our mission is to create an inclusive and collaborative environment where curiosity drives discovery and students grow through rigorous research and education. We strive to train scientists who think critically, communicate clearly, and approach complex challenges with creativity, integrity, and purpose.

Mentorship is at the heart of our philosophy. We encourage team members to take ownership of their ideas, pursue bold questions, and develop the rigor and resilience that scientific discovery demands. Through close guidance, collaboration, and hands-on research, students build the technical, analytical, and professional skills needed to make meaningful contributions to science and society. We recognize that discovery is both challenging and deeply rewarding. By fostering a supportive and sustainable research culture, we aim to inspire motivated, creative scientists who will push the boundaries of knowledge and lead the next generation of innovation.

do you need a

reference letter?

These letters are an integral part of most job applications and are typically used to gauge aspects of the candidate that are not stated in the application file. I am not interested in providing false/empty statements and it is in your own interest to find the people who can say good things about you and your work.

Are you interested in joining the lab?

We are always looking for qualified and motivated people to join our group.

Students

Students are strongly encouraged to become familiar with the active projects and recent publications from the lab so we can find a project that is a good fit.

Military students

Besides a holistic admission process, we offer time flexibility to comply with your duties. We also offer ample options in terms of degrees and projects. More importantly, we appreciate and respect the mentality of veterans, who have have done very well in our lab.

Postdocs

We do not currently have any openings for postdoctoral researchers. That said, we would be more than happy to work with you and pursue funding to cover your visit.
