01. My journey
I earned a BS in Biochemistry and a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the National University of Cordoba, Argentina. Then, I performed postdoctoral studies at Mississippi State University and Colorado State University. I started my independent career at UT San Antonio and then joined Clemson University in 2015.
02. Our research
Our group is focused on the development of integrated analytical approaches that span from highly specialized instrumentation to simple paper-based devices. Applications of these projects include the quantification of biomedically-relevant analytes, the design of biocatalysts, and the implementation of artificial intelligence to address analytical problems.
03. Other roles
Among other activities, I serve as a Faculty Fellow in Clemson's Office of Faculty Advancement, I'm co-Editor in Chief for Electrophoresis (Wiley) and an Associate Editor for Sensors and Diagnostics (RSC). I'm also the Faculty advisor for TEDx Clemson.
04. About me
I love cooking and (when I have time) I enjoy archery.
