We were delighted to welcome Dr. Marcelo Avena and Dr. Graciela Zanini from INQUISUR, Universidad Nacional del Sur (Argentina) to Clemson University’s Department of Chemistry for two outstanding seminars. Dr. Avena presented his work on high-capacity Cd(II) sorption and preconcentration using commercial superabsorbent beads, while Dr. Zanini shared her innovative research on sustainable clay-based fluorescent sensing platforms. We sincerely thanked both speakers for their insightful presentations, engaging discussions, and the opportunity to learn from their expertise. Their visits allowed us to spend time together, discuss science, and plan for future collaborations. Thanks again!
