What an honor was to host Drs. Karen Scida and M. Fernanda Mora, both brilliant alumni from the lab! Karen, who joined us as an undergraduate student published two papers and then moved to UT Austin for her PhD under the supervision of Dick Crooks. She is now a Research Associate Professor at UNC Chapel Hill. Fernanda, after completing her PhD and publishing 16 papers, took a position at JPL where she is now a  Lab-on-a-Chip Technologist.
