Biosketch
I obtained my B.Eng. in Electrical/Electronic Engineering from Ekiti State University, and my M.Sc. in Systems Engineering from the University of Lagos, both in Nigeria. During my master’s, I conducted research on developing an affordable, locally manufactured electronic wheelchair for mobility-impaired individuals. That marked the turning point of my career from pure engineering to bioengineering, where I now conduct research on gene therapy for inherited metabolic diseases in the Cottle Lab at Clemson University.
Research Interests
I have a general interest in translational medical research, translating ideas to the bedside. Currently, I am interested in the delivery routes of lipid nanoparticle complexed CRISPR-Cas9 to treat inherited metabolic diseases.
