I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Laboratory Science from the University of Cape Coast (UCC), Ghana, where I graduated with First-Class Honours. I was awarded as the Best Graduating Student in both Histopathology and Microbiology and received the Dean’s Award as the school’s overall second-best male student in my third year. During my undergraduate studies, I conducted research on surrogate markers of malarial inflammation using complete blood count (CBC) data, under the supervision of Dr. Joseph Boachie. Over the years, I have actively engaged in research across neuroscience, hematology, pharmacogenetics, and public health.
Research Interests
My interests lie in neurodevelopmental biology and regenerative medicine, with a focus on understanding the cellular and molecular interplay between neural stem cells and neuroinflammatory cells. I aim to explore and exploit this knowledge in the context of neurodevelopment and neural tissue regeneration.
Current Research
Investigating the role of mTOR in the nervous system.
