Counseling and Psychological Services:
CAPS is a student resource available to all graduate and undergraduate students at Redfern. You are all eligible to utilize CAPS for any mental health/overall well-being support you might need. You are eligible for several free sessions, and if you use all of those, your student health insurance will contribute to the cost of additional sessions, making it reasonably affordable. CAPS can assist with the following:

Employee Assistance Program:
You can also find a counselor through the EAP. Most of them are available for virtual appointments, so you can meet with them from the comfort of your home, the coffee shop, office, etc. In addition to counseling services, the EAP also provides assistance with legal and financial matters. It’s a great resource that’s available to you at no cost. EAP can assist with the following:

Therapy Assistance Online:
Therapy Assistance Online (TAO) is as an online library of engaging, interactive programs that help you learn life skills and bounce back from disappointments or obstacles. TAO has many videos and interactive components that helps one to gain the necessary knowledge and self-awareness to achieve their specific goals.
Healthy Campus:
Healthy Campus offers many different opportunities for the Clemson University related to health and wellbeing. These engaged learning activities include creative inquiry teams, internships, class projects, and mindfulness and wellbeing short courses. Below are some of the opportunities that Healthy Campus offers. Always check out their website for more information and new opportunities.
- Koru Mindfulness is an evidence-based program specifically designed for teaching mindfulness and meditation as a way to manage stress and reduce anxiety, developed by Duke University. This resource can provide specific skills that help calm and focus the mind, including breathing exercises, guided imagery, body scan and more. This course is open to students and employees. - Creative inquiry teams are one way that Healthy Campus Staff work with undergraduate students to develop a culture of health and wellbeing. Three courses that we offer include:
- Assessment in College Student Health CI: This course will focus on the analysis of the National College Health Assessment and preparing presentations for campus stakeholders. - Aspire to Be Well CI: This course is developed to train students as facilitators for the Aspire to Be Well Program. In this course students learn skills as health peer facilitators, develop research projects from relevant data sets, and participate in health & wellness events. - Student Health 101 is a well-being newsletter/ online resource that covers a wide range of health and well-being topics. This student focused information source provides content that is relevant to the student experience and has shown to impact student success and retention rates. Student Health 101 sent to students via email on a regular basis and is promoted on social media.
