Potluck- Fall 2024

Ritika Gupta presented her work on the role of ParBS condensates in bacterial DNA segregation, showing how their phase separation and viscoelastic properties contribute to chromosomal organization and mechanical force generation.
Narendar Kollimeni presented his poster titled “The Effect of Macromolecular Crowding on DNA under Tension”, highlighting how crowding influences DNA conformation, free energy landscapes, and force responses. His work explores how excluded volume effects and crowding-induced compression impact DNA structure and function.
