Biosketch:

I am from Mumbai, India, and I completed my undergraduate studies in Biotechnology at D. Y. Patil University, Navi Mumbai (2018). I completed my master’s degree in biostatistics from Michigan State University (2021), and for my master’s thesis, I evaluated the performance of some classification models on simulated balanced and unbalanced datasets under the advisement of Dr. Chi Chang. During my master’s, I also worked as a research assistant in Dr. Arun Ross’s lab, where I developed machine learning algorithms to perform phenotypic prediction in Sorghum bicolor. In Fall of 2021, I began my Ph.D. in Biomedical Data Science and Informatics and joined Dr. Zhana Duren’s lab at the Clemson Center for Human Genetics, Greenwood, SC.

Research:

Currently, I am interested in developing computational models to perform the integration of gene expression and chromatin accessibility information for single cells.
