I grew up in the village of Contoocook, New Hampshire and graduated from Union College (2021) with a B.S. in Biological Sciences and a minor in Addiction Science.  During my time at Union, I worked with Dr. Cohen on a project analyzing single-nucleotide polymorphisms of the endocannabinoid system within a bariatric population.  Our goal was to further understand the complex etiologies of obesity on a genetic level so that individuals seeking help may receive a more personalized, effective treatment plan.  Outside of the lab, I enjoy watching/playing basketball, skiing, and visiting new places.  I’m looking forward to joining the Clemson community!

Research

As a Tiger, I will be working in Dr. Julia George’s Lab. Neurogenomics is a very fascinating field to me and I am eager to begin working with the Australian Zebra Finches in Dr. George’s aviary.  I am also interested in the genomics of neurological diseases such as Parkinson’s disease.
