Kara is an Assistant Professor in Biological Sciences at Clemson University. Her research interests are in craniofacial evolution and development and her education interests are in improving enthusiasm and engagement for all future scientists.

Katherine is a Ph.D. student in Learning Sciences at Clemson University. A former staff member at the Clemson Science Outreach Center, Katherine is now the Executive Director of the South Carolina Coalition of Math and Science. Her research interests are in transforming knowledge into educational materials, as well as the impact of leading outreach on undergraduate students.

Undergrad team

BeakerBox couldn’t happen without a highly collaborative, interdisciplinary team of undergraduate students at Clemson University. This includes students majoring across STEM fields such as Biological Sciences, Microbiology, Genetics, and Mathematical Sciences as well as those in Marketing and Brand Communications. This team designs, generates, and implements activities for K12 outreach.
