Southeast Regional Meeting (SE-rSICB)

Saturday, October 25, 2025

Clemson University’s Department of Biological Sciences is excited to host the 2025 Southeast Regional Society of Integrative and Comparative Biology meeting, now in its 19th year. We are excited to welcome presentations by students, postdocs, and faculty from across all SICB’s divisions while continuing SE-rSICB’s traditional strengths in vertebrate morphology and comparative biomechanics. We’re looking forward to a constructive and energizing meeting and hope to see you in October!

Deadline to register: October 1, 2025.

Tentative schedule

Presentation formats

All presentations will be held in or around G-33 Jordan Hall.

Lightning talks: Final talk duration will be set when we compile the program but expect somewhere in the five- to eight-minute range plus one to two minutes for questions. We will have a podium PC running Windows and the Microsoft Office suite. To use this computer, please bring a flash drive from which we can copy your file to show on our projector. Our podium also has HDMI and VGA connections, if you would like to present from your own laptop. We’ll try to help make sure this works but may need some flexibility if difficulties come up.

Posters: Please print your posters no larger than 3 feet by 4 feet (portrait or landscape is OK) and trim if necessary. Easels and clips will be provided. If the weather cooperates, we will try to set up on an outdoor patio near the location of the talks.

Parking information

General parking will be available in the E-6 or E-1 lots on Saturday. To avoid ticketing, parking permits are required to be displayed in the windshield of each vehicle while on campus. Clemson personnel will be on hand to distribute passes on Saturday morning. Additional details to come.

Lodging

Due to other campus events, the hotels immediately around Clemson are likely sold out or very expensive. Nearby towns including Seneca and Anderson (near the Interstate 85 exit) are likely to have the best, or only, available options. We recommend booking as early as possible.

The Hampton Inn Anderson (about 10 miles from campus, at 120 Interstate Blvd., Anderson, SC; 864-375-1999) is holding a limited number of rooms for us with a discounted rate of $120 plus tax.

These rooms must be reserved by September 26, 2025, through this reservation link.

The group room rate includes:

  • Complimentary hot buffet breakfast
  • Complimentary Wi-Fi
  • Complimentary self-parking
