David is a rising Junior of Biochemistry major. He is deeply interested in chemistry and biochemical engineering, and am looking forward to coursing through medical school, and wish to become a surgical doctor in the future. I enjoy playing baseball and christian gatherings when I am not loaded with school work. David’s research with Dr. Jacobson is called “Sugar Pucker”. It is a study of 6-carbon sugar rings of RNA, where their North and South confirmation, aka C2′ Endo and C3 Emdo conformations, respectively, are investigated with their cause of formation and its effects. For this research, we synthesize and use a long single-stranded RNA of different proteins, and physically pull the strands to test the effects.
