Hunter Chemistry Laboratory, which includes over 50,000 square feet of laboratory space for research and teaching. LC-MS\" rel=\"bookmark\">Agilent 6560 Ion Mobility QTOF LC-MS<\/a>\n\t<\/h3>\n\n\t\n\t<div class=\"entry-excerpt\"><p>The Agilent 6560 is a drift tube ion mobility (DTIM)-enabled QTOF system that allows simultaneous measurement of ion mobility\/collision cross section (CCS), high resolution accurate mass, and tandem mass spectrometry. The DTIM separates ions based on differences in size, shape, and charge and is primarily used in our lab to rapidly (&lt;60 milliseconds) separate structurally similar compounds including stereoisomers. It performs with resolving power of 50-60 to separate species with collision cross section (CCS) differences of &gt;2%. The instrument is also coupled to an Agilent 1290 Infinity II ultrahigh performance liquid chromatograph (UHPLC) to allow for online LC separations (i.e., LC-IM-MS\/MS). The instrument has been upgraded to allow for IM measurements to be made in a wide range of buffer gases (e.g., helium, nitrogen, carbon dioxide, etc.) and also to perform multiplexed data acquisition.
