She earned her Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) in 2017 and has since pursued a career that bridges clinical practice and translational research, with work spanning cardiovascular disease and cancer biology. She also served as a Visiting Research Scholar in the Department of Regenerative Medicine and Cell Biology at the University of South Carolina and MUSC from 2024 to 2025, where she expanded her expertise in molecular and cellular approaches to human disease.<\/p>\n<p>In her current position, Dr. Moazzam studies the mechanisms that drive atherosclerosis, with particular emphasis on vascular inflammation and cholesterol efflux.
