During his time at Clemson, he participated in a Creative Inquiry focused on arsenic bioremediation and Clemson Engineers for Developing Communities (CEDC). While a part of the arsenic bioremediation research team, the team observed the viability of removing arsenic from contaminated soils while comparing the percent removed depending on the use of agricultural byproducts or a glucose control. Paul served as a group member in the Cultural Engagement and Aquaculture groups before becoming a project manager for Aquaculture Business Implementation. Cultural Engagement\u2019s purpose is to guide CEDC students to better understanding and engaging with each other, the communities they work with, and the world around them. Aquaculture Business Implementation works on starting a Haitian-owned and self-sustaining tilapia feed company in the Central Plateau of Haiti to combat food insecurity and malnutrition while promoting the local economy and offering jobs to the community.
