I graduated from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs with dual degrees in Biology and Biochemistry. During this time, I worked under Dr. Jeremy Bono, studying evolutionary genetics, sex competition, and RNA involved in reproduction. Now, I am here at Clemson and excited to see where the world of Genetics can lead me.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Research<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>My research interests lie in genetics and gene expression. I am fascinated by the ability of little strings of molecules to influence our lives in ways beyond our comprehension. I am currently in Dr. Tara Doucet-O\u2019Hare\u2019s lab, looking at epigenetics and the role that repetitive elements can play in disease. More holistically, I am interested in doing research that will help people.
