Biosketch<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Katelynne graduated from Clemson University in May 2022 with a B.S. in Biochemistry and minors in Japanese and Biological Sciences. During her time at Clemson, she participated in a variety of student organizations, such as Clemson Dholna, the Japanese Cultural Association, and the Biochemistry and Genetics Club. As a recipient of the Gilman-McCain Scholarship, Katelynne briefly studied Japanese at Kansai University and participated in an internship with TOKI, a Japanese travel company. In her free time, she has volunteered with LearningAlly and the Take Back the Night Foundation. She also enjoys art, photography, and language learning.<\/p>\n

Research Interests<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Her interest in research was developed during her time as a member of a Clemson Creative Inquiry led by Dr. Dev Arya which focused on targeting drug resistance. As a recent graduate, she will be joining Dr. Anholt\u2019s Lab as a Drosophila Research Technician and hopes to analyze how environmental toxins impact Drosophila genes.<\/p>\n
