Katelynne Collins
Biosketch
Katelynne graduated from Clemson University in May 2022 with a B.S. in Biochemistry and minors in Japanese and Biological Sciences. During her time at Clemson, she participated in a variety of student organizations, such as Clemson Dholna, the Japanese Cultural Association, and the Biochemistry and Genetics Club. As a recipient of the Gilman-McCain Scholarship, Katelynne briefly studied Japanese at Kansai University and participated in an internship with TOKI, a Japanese travel company. In her free time, she has volunteered with LearningAlly and the Take Back the Night Foundation. She also enjoys art, photography, and language learning.
Research Interests
Her interest in research was developed during her time as a member of a Clemson Creative Inquiry led by Dr. Dev Arya which focused on targeting drug resistance. As a recent graduate, she will be joining Dr. Anholt’s Lab as a Drosophila Research Technician and hopes to analyze how environmental toxins impact Drosophila genes.
