Step into the role of a real veterinarian for the week
\nPerform animal checkups by taking temperature, pulse, and observing behavior
\nDiagnose mystery animal patients using clues and critical thinking
\nUse microscopes and X-rays to investigate common animal illnesses
\nAcquire practice surgical skills and treatment techniques to help patients heal<\/p>\n

SPECIAL NOTES for Vet for a Week Camp:<\/strong><\/p>\n

This week is full of hands-on “as real as possible” experiences to help young students understand the skills needed and the many career paths veterinary science has to offer in order to help our furry friends. This includes taxidermy animals. No live animals will be present. Students will learn how to conduct a basic physical exam on a canine\/feline\/exotic animal, basic suture and surgical procedures using aseptic technique, basic animal anatomy, identifying diseases and common day-to-day cases veterinarians deal with, and much much more!<\/p>\n

We do not eat or drink anything in the lab per lab safety policy, but please be sure to make us aware of ANY allergies as we will be dealing with multiple materials and want to make sure all students are safe! Please let us know if your child would have trouble touching any of the following items: gloves, masks, play dough, chocolate, animal hair, bananas, blueberries, fruit, almond flour.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””]Crime Scene Investigation (<\/strong>CSI)<\/p>\n
