Looking for a fun and educational way to spend your spring break? Our spring holiday camps are scheduled to coincide with the spring breaks of several local school districts.
The camps, held on the Clemson University campus, provide children ages 8–12 with inspiring science activities.
Times
Supervised lunch time will be held from 12:15–12:45p.m. Campers must bring their own lunch. A small refrigerator is available.
Camp Location
All camps will be held in Room G-30 in Jordan Hall on the Clemson campus. Each is limited to 25 campers. Camps will be taught by Science Outreach Center personnel.
Activities:
- Perform gel electrophoresis.
- Compare DNA from known pests to an unknown tree killer.
- Isolate DNA from foods.
- Engineer electrical circuits.
- Explore Newton’s Laws using compressed air rockets.
