Biosketch
I was born in Bradenton, FL, and raised in Fort Myers, FL, where I completed high school and enrolled in the University of Central Florida in Orlando, FL, in 2017. I graduated from UCF in May 2021 with a B.S. in Biomedical Sciences and was accepted a month later into the M.S. Genetics program at Clemson University. My time at UCF was spent in many labs getting hands-on experience, namely Experimental Molecular Cell Biology – where I consistently manipulated apoptotic and metabolic signals within the cell to exploit their given properties. I plan on working as a graduate student toward my master’s degree and later starting a career in a gene therapy company after I graduate.
Research
Currently, I am exploring a variety of topics to research – namely, RNA structures and mechanisms, genetic disparities in the nervous system and their applications within gene therapy, abnormalities with hormone levels and the genes that control or affect them, or potentially cancer genetics.
